Duane and I decided to head out late one afternoon last week, so there wasn't a lot of light for pictures, or for seeing much else by the end for that matter! We really had no idea where the trail went, but we wandered around anyway and still managed to find our way out :) I was sort of hoping we'd end up on a circular trail, but it started getting dark and we found a cat-ski trail and decided it was about time to turn around and head back because there was little hope of finding a different route out.
It was quite a nice hike with a bunch of larch needles fallen on the trails, which was pretty..and there was lots of ground frost and we had lots of fun crunching it! It was rather satisfying, I must say!
Here are my shots!
And these two pictures don't have anything to do with our hike, but I hadn't posted them on here and I thought I should :) The first one was taken when Duane and I went for a walk along the dyke a few weeks ago with Megan and Aaron, and the second was when Sherri came through Calgary on her way to visit mom and dad..we went shopping and then out for a nice dinner. We had a great time!

Hi Karyn, I thought I'd respond to your question on your blog. I'm not sure why the icing would not thicken. If you're sure you used the right amounts and boiled it for 3 minutes, then let it cool before adding the icing sugar, it should thicken to a nice spreading consistency. Too bad, I hope it works next time, cause it's so delicious. (Maybe put it in the fridge to thicken?) Anyways, thanks for coming by.
