Picture Post!! Family Day Trip to the USA

On Thursday, February 14th, Duane and I took off for a little vacation! We were both blessed with FIVE days off work at the SAME TIME, and I'd been wanting to go on a road trip for awhile, so we quickly planned a trip down south! After running a few errands around town first, Duane and I hit the road to Montana. We had recently had a lot of snow, but the roads were excellent...initially. Eventually they got quite sketchy (mostly once we were across the border!), but Duane handled it like a pro. There were times, once we crossed the border, when the highway got down to ONE LANE because the snowbanks were so huge! Apparently we chose a good time to go because, for the 4 or 5 days prior, they had had the highway closed around St. Mary! They had only recently cut the road out with snowplows and cutters; the snowbanks were freaking huge! There were also spots where the wind was blowing snow over the snowdrifts and it made it tough to see where we were going, but we had fun! We even turned on the local radio station...which was country (go figure!), and sang along! Here are a few of the shots from our trip...the rest still have to be edited (I had two cameras).

Stay tuned...
