Merry Late Christmas!

I'm a little behind, eh?
We've been so busy getting our home organized, registering for college, getting ready for Christmas, and finally welcoming Leah to the house (oh, and babysitting a kitten), that I haven't much thought about my blog! I've kept up on everyone else's of course, but not my own. Figures. Then we drove back to Abbotsford for Christmas! I just realized, too, that we won't ever spend a Christmas morning in this house. As our lease is only a year, we will be out before Christmas next year. Bummer. But heck, living anywhere in Fernie at Christmas can't really be all that bad!
Here are a few shots of our house that we decorated up for the holidays before we took off to my parent's place. I'll update the blog with more pictures and stories once I have the pictures edited! There will also be more pictures after New Year's, as we're having a shindig at our place!

This is Tundra. She's a bobcat. But she's pretty darn cute.

Pictures! A Hike in the Hills

Duane and I decided to head out late one afternoon last week, so there wasn't a lot of light for pictures, or for seeing much else by the end for that matter! We really had no idea where the trail went, but we wandered around anyway and still managed to find our way out :) I was sort of hoping we'd end up on a circular trail, but it started getting dark and we found a cat-ski trail and decided it was about time to turn around and head back because there was little hope of finding a different route out.
It was quite a nice hike with a bunch of larch needles fallen on the trails, which was pretty..and there was lots of ground frost and we had lots of fun crunching it! It was rather satisfying, I must say!
Here are my shots!
And these two pictures don't have anything to do with our hike, but I hadn't posted them on here and I thought I should :) The first one was taken when Duane and I went for a walk along the dyke a few weeks ago with Megan and Aaron, and the second was when Sherri came through Calgary on her way to visit mom and dad..we went shopping and then out for a nice dinner. We had a great time!
